An electronic visa to Jordan is available for Indian citizens in different types: as a three-month single-entry, a three-month double-entry, a six-month multiple-entry, a one-year multiple-entry, and a 72-hour single-entry transit visa.

The application process for a Jordan e-Visa is effortless and takes only a few steps. It is necessary to fill in an application form, attach the documents, and pay the visa fees. The result will be delivered to the applicant’s inbox.

Upon arrival in Jordan, Indian nationals need to show their valid passport, a paper copy of an active e-Visa to Jordan, and an onward/return ticket.

How long will it take for a Jordanian visa to be processed?

  • residence permit of the application owner (if the owner lives in Jordan);
  • valid professions license (if the visa is applied by a company or institution);
  • a Schengen or USA visa valid for at least 6 months, or at least 6-month residence in one of the following countries:

Jordan Pass

The mandatory document for a Jordan Pass is a valid passport that does not expire for at least 6 months from entering Jordan.

Additional requirements

Since the application for a Jordan e-Visa takes place entirely online, there are additional requirements that applicants must follow:

  • a stable internet connection
  • a working device (smartphone, laptop, tablet, or personal computer)
  • financial means and ability to pay visa fee online
  • a valid email address

Requirements on arrival

At the entry port in Jordan, Indians may be required to present the following documents:

  • a passport with a minimal validity period of 6 months
  • a printout of an active Jordan visa
  • a printout of a Jordan Pass (if applicable)
  • valid travel insurance (recommended)

Transit information

If you need to enter Jordan only with the purpose of transiting to another country, the necessity of obtaining a visa depends on the intended stay.

Those having an onward travel ticket for a flight within 48 hours of arrival in Jordan do need to obtain a visa to Jordan.

However, if your stay lasts longer than 48 hours, you must apply for a transit e-Visa that permits a 72-hour visit to Jordan.
