Indonesia visa policy

The Indonesia visa policy is a set of entry rules that define who can visit Indonesia, what documents are required from travelers, and how long visitors may stay in the country. As for now, the Indonesian Government issues a regular visa, a visa on arrival, and an online visa.

Moreover, citizens of 10 countries are allowed to visit Indonesia visa-free. They can enjoy the freedom of movement and spend 30 days in the country. The visa exemption rule applies to nationals of all ASEAN countries and citizens of Timor-Leste.

The Indonesia e-Visa (Indonesia e-VOA) is an online visa on arrival. To obtain it, complete the application form and cover the fee payment. Then, print out the visa approval notice and issue a visa on arrival to Indonesia. The e-Visa is valid for 90 days, allowing for a 30-day trip.

Remember, traveling on Indonesian e-Visa is possible only through selected ports of entry. There are 6 airports and 10 seaports in the Republic of Indonesia that accept online visas.

Additionally, you can apply for a standard Indonesian visa on arrival. Once you arrive at the entry port, visit the immigration office and complete the visa application. The procedure is uncomplicated, but you may wait in long queues. The approved visa is effective for 30 days.

A regular visa for Indonesia may be issued at the Indonesian Embassy. To complete the procedure, schedule a visit to the office and submit your application in person. Remember that the Indonesian visa may be issued both for short-term trips and long-term travel.

In order to enter Indonesia, you need a valid passport and an approved visa. However, depending on your country of origin and the activities you plan to pursue abroad, you may be required to prepare some additional documentation.
