Egypt Entry Requirements
If you want to visit Egypt, you need to meet the entry conditions and prepare all necessary documents, including a valid passport and a visa. Most travelers can obtain an e-Visa and enter Egypt without problems. Those who are not eligible for an online visa must contact the nearest embassy for more information.
The Gulf Cooperation Council members usually don’t need a visa to stay in Egypt for a short-term period. However, it is recommended to check all the requirements before the trip as the rules may change.
What is more, the Egyptian government lifted up most of the Covid-19 restrictions in June 2022 for travelers. You don’t need to show vaccination proof or negative test results anymore. But remember to have a valid passport/ID, a visa, and travel insurance.
Also, it is required to complete Egypt Health Declaration. The form was introduced as a safety measure, and you need to provide basic information such as name, surname, nationality, date of birth, etc. Don’t forget about travel insurance as well. It is required to have it to be in Egypt.
Testing, Vaccination, and Quarantine Requirements
Testing, proof of vaccination, and quarantine aren’t required anymore when it comes to entry to Egypt. You don’t need to provide negative testing, and it doesn’t matter if you are vaccinated or not. Remember only about the health declaration form, travel insurance, a visa, and a valid passport.
