India eVisa is an electronic visa introduced by the government of India allowing eligible foreigners to travel to the country for tourism, business, and medical purposes.

Depending on the visa type, a traveler can stay in the country from 30 to 180 days during the validity period lasting from 1 month up to 5 years from the moment of issuing. You will choose your visa type during the application process.

Types of India eVisa

Tourist eVisa

  • 30-day eVisa

The one-month eVisa allows two visits to India for sightseeing, exploring the country, and meeting family and friends.

It stays valid for 30 days from the day of issuing. The permitted stay is the same – 30 days.

  • 1-year eVisa

The one-year eVisa to India is issued for numerous entries into India and allows international travelers visiting India for leisure matters.

As its name implies, the permit has a one-year validity period, during which its holder can stay in India as long as 180 days in total.

  • 5-year eVisa

The five-year visa to India is a multiple-entry type that lets its holders have an unlimited number of visits, the total length of which cannot exceed 180 days. It remains valid for 5 years.

Business eVisa

The business visa to India is designed for attending meetings, internal workshops, negotiations and performing other business activities.

It stays valid for 1 year from the date of issue and allows a stay of up to 180 days – either consecutively or throughout numerous visits.

Medical eVisa

The medical eVisa to India serves treatment purposes, including treatment under the Indian system of medicine, and stays effective for 4 months from the issuance date.

This type enables eligible foreigners to be in India for 60 days. You may use them for one visit or divide them between three separate entries. The medical permit may be issued for the patient or an attendant.

Conference eVisa

This type of electronic permit serves exclusively for the purpose of partaking in conferences, seminars, or government workshops.

The conference eVisa allows foreigners a single visit and a 30-day stay. It stays effective for 4 months from the moment of approval.

Ayurveda eVisa

The Ayurveda eVisa is suitable for undergoing wellness treatments and therapies in Indian facilities. Every traveler can enter the country three times and plan a stay for up to 60 days.

The electronic permit expires 4 months past the issuing date.

Transit eVisa

The transit permit is intended even for the shortest of stays at the Indian airports. It remains in effect for 2 months and grants two entries.
