Azerbaijan e-Visa – Basic information

The Azerbaijan online visa is a single-entry visa that lets you legally stay in the country. Firstly, it was introduced in 2017 as the ASAN Visa system that allowed foreigners short-term visits to Azerbaijan. This e-Visa is issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Azerbaijan e-Visa types

There are 3 types of Azerbaijan online visas: tourist, business, and for medical treatment. Each is valid for 90 days and allows you to be in the country for 30 days. You need to take into consideration the fact that you must leave Azerbaijan before your visa expires.

Also, note that an Azerbaijan e-Visa is a single-entry visa, so you can come to the country once. If you leave and wish to re-enter, you will need to acquire a new e-Visa.

Besides, you can’t use the e-Visa to get a job, start a company, or seek employment in Azerbaijan.

Tourist

Tourist e-Visa is used for traveling and sightseeing purposes. It enables you to enter Azerbaijan and stay there on holiday for 30 days. Azerbaijan offers a lot of magnificent places and events, which is why this type of visa is very popular among tourists.

Business

As the name indicates, this type of visa is issued for travelers who intend to conduct business activities, such as conferences, investments, meetings, business investigations, etc. However, it can’t be used for employment or labor purposes.

Medical treatment

A medical treatment visa is designed for people who seek private consultation or treatment in Azerbaijan because of their health condition.

Azerbaijan e-Visa validity

As stated above, an approved electronic visa is valid for 3 months, and you can stay in Azerbaijan visa for 30 days with it.

Transit information

In case of transit, it is possible to come to Azerbaijan without a visa if:

• You have a valid passport
• You have a ticket for your final destination
• You don’t leave the airport transit zone.
